Short Stories and Tall Tails
The Khaedian empire was founded approximately 300 years before present day, at the conclusion of the War of Three Kingdoms.
The area was previously divided into the Dwarfish Kingdom of Gunaram Dhum to the west, the Elven Kingdom of Aladhon to the north and the Human Kingdom Khaedia to the east and south. The war saw heavy casualties on all sides, before the Elven Kingdoms – pushed back as far as their capital Tel Thanas surrendered, adding their arm to the human forces of Khaedia – triggering a cease fire and seven years of negotiation.
In spite of the bloodbath leading to the formation of the Empire, a policy of decentralised government and even-handedness from Emperor Alhhund has lead to the longest period of recorded peace in the region ever recorded.
The symbol of the Empire is the Chimera, as its three heads signify the unity of three Kingdoms – Elves, Dwarves and Men.
